• Camp Huntington

  Camp Huntington offers seven-week residential programs for youth and young adults with a variety of special needs, including Aspergers Syndrome and high-functioning autism. Camp Huntington is designed to maximize a child's potential and develop their strengths and hidden abilities through a unique program approach called Adaptive Therapeutic Recreation. Activities at Camp Huntington are designed to stimulate a child's awareness and interest in their environment and in relationships, while building their confidence, self-esteem and growth towards independence.

• SUWS

  SUWS, one of the nations premier therapeutic wilderness programs for adolescents and teenagers, provides profoundly effective wilderness experiences for students with Asperger's. The SUWS program of "experiential learning" - one of the best ways to help kids with Asperger's helps Aspergers students learn how to interact with their peers and they develop coping methods and tools to improve their understanding of how to act within a social group. For many of these kids, they experience for the first time a real sense of belonging.

• Talisman Academy - School for Asperger's Students

  Talisman Academy is a residential program for adolescents, teenagers and young adults (ages 12 to 20)who have Asperger's Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism, and similar autism-spectrum disorders. Talisman Academy is dedicated to helping improve students social awareness and interaction, independence, and academic self-motivation. Both on and off campus (and always under the close supervision of a qualified Talisman staff member), Talisman Academy students practice independent living skills and group dynamics, and engage in focused social skills groups.

• Talisman Summer Camps

  Talisman summer programs offer camps for children ages 8 to 17 with Asperger's Syndrome. Talisman has been offering such experiences since 1980 and is ACA accredited. Our unique summer camps specialize in creating camps that offer not only adventure, but learning experiences, for children and teenagers. Talisman's adventure programs, which are geared specifically for children with high-functioning autism or Asperger's Syndrome, offer activities like sailing, backpacking, kayaking, rock climbing, and whitewater rafting. Talisman provides parents with unique alternatives to ordinary summer camps that cannot focus on their child's special needs.
