As each year passes, the competition for admission to independent boarding schools becomes more and more intense. Schools are more aggressive in searching for talented applicants, parents are searching for safer and more challenging environments for their adolescent children, and students are asking to leave home earlier to seek out new challenges and new personal relationships.

Understanding the Common Application Form 
Although an attractive option for college applicants for many years, the Common Application for independent boarding and day schools has only recently been made available and has just begun to grow in popularity among candidates. The Common Application has been sanctioned by members of The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS).
